Happiness hit her like a train on a track
Coming towards her stuck still no turning back
She hid around corners and she hid under beds
She killed it with kisses and from it she fled
With every bubble she sank with her drink
And washed it away down the kitchen sink
The dog days are over
The dog days are done
The horses are coming
So you better run
Run fast for your mother, run fast for your father
Run for your children, for your sisters and brothers
Leave all your love and your longing behind
You cant carry it with you if you want to survive
The dog days are over
The dog days are done
Can you hear the horses?
Because here they come
And I never wanted anything from you
Except everything you had and what was left after that too, oh
Happiness hit her like a bullet in the head
Struck from a great height by someone who should know better than that
The dog days are over
The dog days are done
Can you hear the horses?
Because here they come
Run fast for your mother, run fast for your father
Run for your children, for your sisters and brothers
Leave all your loving, your loving behind
You cant carry it with you if you want to survive
The dog days are over
The dog days are done
Can you hear the horses?
Because here they come
The dog days are over
The dog days are done
The horses are coming
So you better run
-florence and the machines.

all i want to do is run.
all i can think about is getting away,
from all the people i know
[besides the good ones, but isn't it like that always always.]
i'v learnt that we can't depend on people,
we have to be self sufficient.
take care of yourself so you just don't
end up hurt.
the people that you love, always hurt you the most.
so moral of the story,
be happy, do the things you love,
take care of yourself.
be happy, do the things you love,
take care of yourself.
be happy, do the things you love,
take care of yourself.
i just want to forget,
just so i can move on.
but i can't forget.
so i'm stuck.

Have you ever had Aubergine bake?
photography title, New Year, New paths.
taken on Saturday, the first of January 2010
at seven, fourty-six.
six people, one car, two two-man tents, two bathroom stops and three hours later, i found myself in Langebaan.
& thats where i was for New Years eve and this morning,
on the first day of the new year.
all i keep thinking is;
can't believe it's the new year.
can't believe this year i graduate from high school.
can't believe this year i'm the big one-eight.
can't believe it's the new year.
can't believe this year i graduate from high school.
can't believe this year i'm the big one-eight.
i have to get past the fact that
time goes so fast and sometimes
it is just hard to keep up with.
i guess thats why they have all those cheesy quotes
to live life to the fullest, appreciate each day as it's your last
because it just happens to be damn true.
time flies and we have to make the most of things.
so have some fun, laugh and take advantage i guess.
well..
it's a big year for me
& i know it is for a lot of others.
so before i bore you all to death.
i'll stop and say that i hope
this year is a beautiful one for you all.
happy new years.
love&stuff.
p.s. that was officially my first self portrait photograph
& post of the year two zero one one.
